Sinharaja Rain Forest in Sri Lanka

Previously we wrote another heritage site from Sri lanka, Sigiriya. Sinharaja Rain Forest (One of best Forests in the world) of Sri Lanka is a famous world heritage site. It is mainly a national reserve park and a great source of biodiversity. In 1978, it was pronounced as a World Biosphere Reserve center by UNESCO. Afterwards, it was declared as a world heritage site by the UNESCO in 1988. It is located in the Sabaragamuwa and Southern Provinces of Sri Lanka. It has covered an area of 88.64 square kilometers. It is simply known as the ‘kingdom of Lion’. This forest is the residence of a numerous species of birds, reptiles, insects, trees, mammals and amphibians. The forest is so dense that the animals cannot be easily seen. There are 3 elephants, 15 or more leopards that are so rare to be seen. Purple faced Langur is the mostly seen animal here.

Eschenheim Tower, Germany

EschenheimerTurm (Eschenheim Tower) was a city entryway piece of the late-medieval strongholds of Frankfurt am Main and is a historic point of the city. The tower, which was raised at the start of the fifteenth century, is immediately the most seasoned and most unaltered building in the to a great extent reproduced Frankfurter Neustadt (new town), now otherwise called the Frankfurt-Innenstadt (downtown area).

The Crescent Moon Lake in Dunhuang, China

There is a small lake half-moon in shape in the Gansu Province of China. It is located only 6 kilometers to the south from a city of Dunhuang and would not be remarkable at any way except for it`s location. This lake, called Yueyaquan in Chinese, currently spreads itself 218 meters long and 54 meters wide in the middle of the Gobi desert, forming an oasis along the ancient Silk Route and has been known for 2000 years for its clear spring. For all this time the small oasis was kept in existence by a fragile natural balance.

Sigiriya, The Sri Lankan Heritage

Being a Rock fortress, a Sacred place Sigiriya or the Lion’s Rock is one of the most incredible place in Sri Lanka, which is located in the Dambulla District. It was built by king kassapa in fifth century. Sigiriya shows a marvelous example of the architecture,gardening,engineering ,hydraulic technology and art. All these things situated on a rock which is like a mountain with height of 200 meters. Sigiriya was included in the world heritage sites in 1982.
